My name is Eugene Portman and I am lucky to live near Surrey which provides me with a lot of work as a pianist. This work consists of weddings, parties, and other events in many of the county’s wonderful venues.
The Music
A lot of my work in Surrey consists of me as a jazz pianist. My main repertoire consists of the great jazz standards and songs made famous by ‘The Rat Pack’. I play the piano for a lot of weddings and I have to be able to play many genres of music. This enables me to provide music for every part of the wedding day including classical music for the ceremony. Fortunately I play a wide range of music including pop, Latin, rock, blues, ragtime, classical, and even sing-along.
