Performing as a Pianist in Herefordshire
My name is Eugene Portman and I always look forward to being booked as a pianist in the Herefordshire area. There are so many venues in the region and many of them are set in beautiful countryside. This area is one of the top wedding destinations in the country and I always look forward to performing here.
I play the piano for many weddings and events in the Herefordshire area and I hope this continues.
The Music
Herefordshire always provides me with plenty of work as a jazz pianist and this genre is my first love. However, I provide music for a lot of weddings and I can’t get away with just playing jazz. I am often expected to provide a different style of music for each part of the wedding day. For instance classical music has always been popular for ceremonies and jazz continues to be the in-thing for drinks receptions. Also, the sort of music that suits a wedding breakfast wouldn’t necessarily be fitting for an evening reception.
Fortunately I play lots of style and these include Latin, jazz, blues, pop, rock, classical and sing-along.
My Work as a Sing-along Pianist in Herefordshire
I have recently received a lot of enquiries from the Herefordshire area for me as a sing-along pianist. These events can be a bit wild at times, but they are something that I enjoy. Let’s face it, who wouldn’t enjoy seeing people let their hair down and have a really good time. When I play the piano for these events I provide all the song sheets and I dress like a typical old fashioned pub pianist. This consists of a Bowler hat, waistcoat, grandad shirt, pocket watch, etc.

Line-ups
The bulk of the enquiries I receive to perform in Herefordshire are as a solo pianist. However, I can provide a variety of line-ups from duos and trios right up to a jazz band. Here is a list of the line-ups I provide:
